Saddam Hussein’s Luxury Yacht
Saddam Hussein’s luxury yacht, the Ocean Breeze, is now up for sale. It was up for sale last year, but a dispute over who has legal ownership of the yacht broke out between the Iraqi government and a yacht broker. Now, apparently, the dispute is over and the Iraqi government will be getting the proceeds from the sale of the yacht. So what is the Ocean Breeze like, and what will you get for the money? Well, let’s just take a look. The yacht is 270 feet long, decorated throughout with mahogany, silver, gold, marble and anything you can think of that’s fitting for a middle-eastern dictator. Of course that means a shatter-proof glass atrium, health clinic, helicopter landing pad and a mini-submarine pod - you know - in the event an emergency exit was needed. With a crew of 35 and room to sleep 28 guests comfortably on board, this is a boat to rival any private yacht on the planet. Although Saddam Hussein’s luxury yacht is a site to behold, its extravagance strikes a stark contrast to the lifestyle of the Iraqi citizens in his own country. Oh, one more thing I almost forgot … the asking price … $35 million. Here’s a few more pictures for you to check out…
